I am a non-smoker whose taste buds are fully functioning. This means that if I post a recipe here, you can be sure that it tastes great.  Although the ingredients may not (yet) be staples in your kitchen, you have my word that it is worth going out of your way to pick them up at your nearest health-food store, Whole Foods, or online at Amazon.com, Vitacost.com or Nutiva.com.

I fully recognize that there are a million bloggers out there blogging about food. In some ways, this blog is about recording my successes for my own personal scorecard, as well as to give friends and family an opportunity to connect through food should they have any desire to do so.   I am also hoping that strangers stumble upon this site, and find something worthwhile to take or contribute by way of comments.

If you want to see the stuff I’ve accumulated and use in my kitchen, you can click on my David’s Cooking Tools and Books link at the top of the home page and be taken to my amazon “store”, which is available for browsing.
